Hanging Cheek with Copper Lozenge

by:

The Shires Hanging Cheek with Copper Lozenge bit utilizes the small shank in the hanging cheek to add pressure to the poll and encourage flexion. The hanging cheek increases stability in the mouth and can encourage stable contact with the bit. As the horse comes into stable contact, the pressure on the poll decreases and bit is slightly suspended in the mouth - decreasing pressure on the tongue and bars.

The double joint prevents the nutcracker effect on the palette and decreases direct pressure on the bars. The copper lozenge creates warmth and encourages salivation to keep your horses mouth soft. The rest of the bit is made from stainless steel, which is durable, easy to clean, and won't rust or degrade.
