Country Store Information

Essex Co-Op’s old-fashioned country store is a great place to start your shopping if you need a unique gift, or even something special for yourself. Looking for a hostess gift? Our Michel kitchen sets, soaps, and lotions are always appreciated. There are also locally handmade soaps from Ipswich Bay Soaps in a variety of scents. JR Ligget’s soaps and shampoos are also a sought-after product.

We have clothing for men, women, children, and infants from brands like:

  • Carhartt
  • Cut Loose
  • Color Me Cotton
  • Jess and Jane
  • Mountain Mama
  • Yushi
  • Yack and Yetti
  • Dansko Shoes
  • Deerfield Leathers

Equestrians will find quality clothing from Kerrits, Shires, and Heritage Gloves. Toasty warm boots from DriShod and Ariat will keep them warm and dry while working on the farm.

We have tons of accessories like gloves, scarves, jewelry, wallets, keychains, and hats.   Socks from Solemates, Foxriver, and Living Royal will round out your outfit in style.

The Co-Op tries to source products locally to help our local community businesses, as well as to create a diverse offering of items in our store. Customers love our delicious Maple Syrup made by Kinney’s Sugarhouse in Maine, while Essex County Honey Company supplies our local honey – the beehives are right here in Essex County, MA. Harbor Sweets Chocolates are always a favorite and are made in Salem, MA. Dog Gone Treats in Georgetown, MA, supply our dehydrated dog treats that are so popular, they’re practically famous.

Kids will love our toy section. It’s filled with fun stuff for all ages. If you’re looking for a unique gift, check out the toys from House of Marbles: there’s old fashioned toys like kazoos, harmonicas and pick-up sticks. Young equestrians will just love our Breyer collection. Plus, we have fun items like cars, dinosaurs, puzzles and books.
