Hart's Red Radicchio

Raddichio is a type of chichory that has red-puple leaves with white veins. It is shaped like cabbage, however, it has a distinctly bitter taste that goes well with many Italian dishes. The taste of this plant mellows after the first frost, and it enjoys frequent waterings.
