Heating Plate Chick Brooder

Just like a mama hen, this Heating Plate for Chick Brooders keeps chicks warm and cozy. Uses much less electricity than a heat lamp – only 22 watts (66 watts for the large size) vs 175-250 watts for a most heat lamps so there's less risk of fire because of the lower temperature.

To use, set height on the legs low enough that the plate almost touches backs of chicks. As they grow, adjust legs to increase height. Keeps up to 20 chicks warm; measures 12" x 12"; 70" cord length.
