Seachem MatrixCarbon™

Seachem MatrixCarbon™ 100 mL is a premium activated carbon filtration media engineered to deliver exceptional water quality in both freshwater and marine aquariums. Unlike traditional carbon products, MatrixCarbon™ is formed into spherical beads that promote optimum water flow, prevent compacting, and maximize contact with its high-density macroporous binding sites.

 

With an extremely low ash content, MatrixCarbon™ has very little impact on aquarium pH and will not raise pH above 7.0, even when used in distilled water. Its advanced formulation provides one of the lowest detectable leachable phosphate levels available, helping maintain cleaner, healthier aquatic environments.

 

MatrixCarbon™ outperforms many conventional high-grade carbon products in adsorption rate, removal capacity, and service life, making it an excellent choice for removing dissolved organic compounds, discoloration, odors, and impurities from aquarium water. Suitable for use in canister filters, media reactors, box filters, and other high-flow filtration systems.
