Hart's Broadleaf Escarole Endive

This is a favorite salad variety that has wide, wavy leaves with irregular edges. While the exterior leaves are often colored, the interior is smooth white. This variety can be blanched and eaten as salad, however, it is more commonly cooked into soups, stews, and sauces.
