Essex Co-Op Grass Seeds: Essex #2, Shady Lawn and Velvet Green

The team at the Co-Op can help and now has three different grass seed types planted in the front of the store so you can see exactly what it will look like when it germinates!
The Essex County Co-Op has grass seed that is bagged and branded for us, with the following types available for viewing in the raised bed on the front patio:
Velvet Green:
- This needs full sun & is high maintenance
- Golf course quality lawn
- Application Rates:
- New Lawn: 120-140 SQ FT/ LB
- Overseed: 260 SQ FT / LB
- Composition:
- 29.38% Pennlawn Red Fescue
- 27.21% Kentucky Bluegrass
- 19.84% Shadow Chewing Fescue
- 19.77% Perennial Ryegrass
- 3.68% Inert Matter
- 0.09% Other Crop Seed
- 0.03% Weed Seed
Shady Lawn:
- This needs 3-4 hours of sun per day
- Hardy, durable seed
- Application Rate:
- New Lawn: 120-140 SQ FT/ LB
- Overseed: 260 SQ FT / LB
- Composition:
- 30% Onyx Tall Fescue
- 30% Salem Creeping Red Fescue
- 15% Annual Ryegrass
- 15% Jockey Perennial Ryegrass
- 10% Kentucky Bluegrass
ESSEX #2:
- This needs 4-6 hours of sun per day
- Can tolerate sun all day
- Hardy, durable seed
- Application Rates:
- New Lawn: 120-140 SQ FT/ LB
- Overseed: 260 SQ FT / LB
- Composition:
- 50% Reston Perennial Ryegrass
- 25% Salem Creeping Red Fescue
- 15% Annual Ryegrass
- 10% Kentucky Bluegrass
